Job Summary
The Carpentry Construction Supervisor oversees all activities on assigned construction projects, ensuring all phases of the production schedule are maintained. The role of the Supervisor is to plan production schedules, ensure delivery of appropriate tools and materials, perform construction activities. They will lead and mentor volunteers and homeowners on site. The Construction Supervisor also monitors quality control, tracks job status, and keeps the Construction Managers up to date on progress.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction of new homes from foundation to finish
- Lead daily on-site operations, including scheduling, task assignment, and material coordination
- Mentor and train volunteers and homeowners in general construction techniques
- Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with local building codes and Habitat's construction standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each project
- Support a positive and inclusive volunteer experience that aligns with Habitat's mission
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience on-site carpentry and construction of residential single
- Leading and training crews
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings
- Utilizing technology such as Google products
Requirements:
- Valid Wisconsin Driver License and good driving record
- Proven ability to manage a construction schedule with multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
- Able to respond to critical situations calmly and effectively
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform heavy manual tasks, and be capable of performing outside duties under all weather conditions
Compensation and Benefits:
- $45,000 to $50,000 annually dependent on qualifications and experience
