Construction Site Manager

 7:30 am - 4:00 pm  Full Time, Salary/ Exempt;

$60,000 to $65,000 annually,

Job Summary:

The Site Manager plays an essential leadership role in our construction department by overseeing the overall quality of work on our job sites, cultivating relationships with contractors, and ensuring safety standards are being met. The CSM also assists in training new hires & mentoring existing team members on best practices. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the Construction Supervisors, Assistants, and Interns with on and off-site needs.
  • Assist other Construction Managers with monitoring subcontracted work to ensure it is completed on        schedule and within the agreed-upon scope.
  • Coordinate with the Volunteer Department to schedule volunteers and leaders for on-site task                   completion.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work performed.
  • Train new employees on how we build houses and how to perform the necessary job duties and onsite       tasks.
  • Perform regular quality control and site maintenance inspections. 
  • Schedule and attend city inspections.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in the Construction field with an emphasis on carpentry
  • 3 years of Construction management experience 
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings 
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, safety regulations, and best practices on               construction sites.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license and good driving record

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Construction Management degree or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of Universal Dwelling Code
  • Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and             volunteers
  • Capable of managing projects, processes, deadlines, and a budget while adhering to the policies and         procedures of the organization.
  • Experience working with unskilled volunteers

Compensation and Benefits:  

  • $60,000 to $65,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience
